Get swept away by the riveting and romantic World War I saga with Windswept, the book that started it all. Perfect for readers who love The Nightingale and The Alice Network. A "gripping adventure" (Kirkus Reviews).

A complete series of interconnected standalone contemporary romances set in fictional Appalachian town Brandywood, Maryland. Brimming with swoony small town charm, found family, and sizzling heat.

Fall in love around the world with the Wanderlust series—steamy, laugh-out-loud romances set in unforgettable destinations. Each book is a standalone escape packed with heart, heat, and just the right kind of chaos.

Annabelle McCormack writes historical romantic fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance packed with sprawling adventures, epic love, and soulmates who just can’t stay away from each other (even when the world is falling apart). If there’s a sweeping love story with high stakes and deep emotions, she’s probably writing it—or at least dreaming about it while chasing down her next cup of coffee.
When she’s not wrangling words, she’s wrangling five home-schooled kids, a couple of dogs, and an unreasonable amount of books in Maryland. If life had more hours (and less laundry), she’d be traveling, painting, or becoming a professional pastry chef. For now, she’s content with baking, reading, lifting heavy things at the gym, and plotting her next great escape—er, novel. She has been happily publishing since 2021.

…and FIN. It’s done. It’s sent. Off to the editor and out of my hands (for now). 😭😭😭
I’m exhausted and fried. I challenged myself in a way I didn’t think was possible with completing The Route to You (Wanderlust Book 4) and with that, the series comes to an end.
I have more to tell you about it, but for now, I’ll leave you with this small story about the types of things I dealt with writing this book: last night, around 8 pm, my beautiful third born child dumped an entire glass of water on my laptop keyboard.
My brain melted a bit as I watched, in horror, my computer going haywire the night before my book was due. Thanks to saving automatically to the cloud and a reminder from my husband that I could use my kids’ laptop, I was able to press on. You know, after I totally had a freak out and an hour of panic trying to save my laptop (jury’s still out) and dealt with the emotional drain. 🫠🙃
Just my luck, right? Or, as the book would call it, Winnick luck. 🩷
Can’t wait to share this one with you.
Mean mom who didn’t tell her kids it was President’s Day and they just found out and are grumbling about having to do schoolwork. 😂
I *am* tempted to let them off the hook after their core subjects because I’ve got a lot of writing to do. I’ve been going through some pretty rough insomnia the last month and a half; I’ve always been an insomniac, but now having several weeks of having trouble falling asleep at all (until I take a sleep tab at 3 or 4 am because I’m so tired). The resulting brain fog is not the easiest to deal with.
One of the ways I’ve been trying to address this is by backing off social media use. So if I’m quiet on here, that’s a huge part of it. But it also reminds me that I really need to keep sending my newsletter so that I can have a way to connect with my readers who want to hear from me and get updates.
Any fellow midnight oil burners? Maybe we should make a club so we can all bemoan our racing 2 am thoughts together, haha. 🤣 Feel free to share anything that’s worked for you (not much has helped me but hey, you never know). And happy Monday!
Posting this because I’ve had a few people hop on my art post and refuse to accept that an artist might actually be as good as they say they are. The art provided to me by Pandora Young is not only not AI, but she also provided me with progress sketches throughout the entire process, including detailed conversations and art about what we were doing and changes along the way. I am exhausted by AI as much as everyone else, but hopping onto strangers’s posts and making accusations when you are corrected politely and then continuing to make accusations is not acceptable. I will not be tolerating harassment on any forum. Argumentative comments will be deleted and people who continue to harass will be blocked.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!! How do YOU say I love you?? 💕😘
Haha I had to limit myself to the leading men of my series starters but this was so fun! What fictional MMC has captured your heart? (It doesn’t have to be one of mine haha!) Trite as it may sound, I’ve always been a sucker for Mr. Darcy and Gilbert Blythe but I should probably start adding more to my list because there are definitely some favorites missing!
Happy Galentine’s Day!!! In honor of the holiday, here are two of my pink books 🩷, which both happen to be romances!! (And, if you haven’t read it, Until Forever Ends actually opens on Valentine’s Day!)
I’ve got lots of fun stuff coming up this month, including the upcoming release of the A Spark in Ashes AND Carved in Crimson audiobooks (ALCs anyone? I’ll be putting out a call for advanced listening copies tomorrow!). And The Route to You (the last Wanderlust book) is off to the editor in a week, so we’re going to be getting some fun stuff like cover reveals and arc signups for that soon too!
In the meantime, I am in the writing trenches for two romantasy books (including Blood of the Bound—the sequel to Carved in Crimson), focusing on getting all these books done while battling insomnia and trying to restrain myself from booking all the character art I can, because it’s become my new obsession. 😁
Have a fabulous Friday (the 13th!). 😍
