Get swept away by the riveting and romantic World War I saga with Windswept, the book that started it all. Perfect for readers who love The Nightingale and The Alice Network. A "gripping adventure" (Kirkus Reviews).
A complete series of interconnected standalone contemporary romances set in fictional Appalachian town Brandywood, Maryland. Brimming with swoony small town charm, found family, and sizzling heat.
Fall in love around the world with the Wanderlust series—steamy, laugh-out-loud romances set in unforgettable destinations. Each book is a standalone escape packed with heart, heat, and just the right kind of chaos.
Annabelle McCormack writes historical romantic fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance packed with sprawling adventures, epic love, and soulmates who just can’t stay away from each other (even when the world is falling apart). If there’s a sweeping love story with high stakes and deep emotions, she’s probably writing it—or at least dreaming about it while chasing down her next cup of coffee.
When she’s not wrangling words, she’s wrangling five home-schooled kids, a couple of dogs, and an unreasonable amount of books in Maryland. If life had more hours (and less laundry), she’d be traveling, painting, or becoming a professional pastry chef. For now, she’s content with baking, reading, lifting heavy things at the gym, and plotting her next great escape—er, novel. She has been happily publishing since 2021.

In the cursed forests of Lirien, Seren Ragnall lives by blood and blade. As a warrior of the rebel Viori, she’s sworn to kill any Lirien loyalist she encounters. But when a Lirien soldier saves her life—wounding himself in the process—Seren does the unthinkable: she spares him. To keep him from execution, she invokes a forbidden blood oath that binds their fates . . . and their souls.
What Seren doesn’t know is that her captive isn’t just any soldier. Rykr Westhaven is the exiled heir to the Lirien throne—a prince with a price on his head and enemies closing in. If the Viori discover who he truly is, they’ll kill him—and her for protecting him.
Condemned to a brutal trial by combat to earn their freedom, Seren and Rykr must fight side by side—against monsters, rivals, and the heat simmering between them. Their bond was forged in blood, but it sparks something darker, hungrier. What began as duty becomes desire, and every touch threatens to unravel the lies they’ve told to survive.
Because when the truth comes to light, the only thing more dangerous than your sworn enemy . . . is the one you can’t live without.
Preorders will be going up soon, so stay tuned!! ❤️
Just your friendly local author enjoying a low-key, no makeup day on account of yet another cold. (Btw, I need anyone with a cold to stay at least twenty feet from me for a few months, please and thank you. 😂)
I’ve been continuing to work on some publishing plans in the meantime, with updates that I’ll be sharing with you all in the next coming days. So stay tuned!
When I started this publishing journey in 2021, I wasn’t sure what to expect—just that I knew it would be a lot of work and require the mentality that I was building a long-term career. I didn’t expect to be here in 2025 publishing across three genres and with 11 books under my belt (and four more coming soon!).
Yes, maybe I could have done things faster if I niched down or worked to only publish one series at a time, but my brain doesn’t work that way. I write because I love writing. I love crafting stories. While some writers may think of themselves as readers turned writers, I’m a writer who always loved writing and storytelling more than anything else—including reading. So I write out of passion…otherwise it doesn’t work for me.
But that doesn’t mean that it’s not difficult, or that the pace I’ve been writing at has been easy to sustain. With a lot going on my family, I’m finding myself wanting to reclaim a bit of space and give myself some structure for projects moving forward—more than likely limiting myself to planning one published work (for each of the three genres I’m working on) per year—(so 3 books a year). For now, at least. That will still be a lot of work, but hopefully will help me continue to bring you high quality books consistently.
Thanks to everyone who has been involved in this journey. My readers are what make this career possible and I appreciate you all more than I can say. 💕
One of the things I’ve been working on this summer is unveiling some new branding—and today I’m starting with the *gorgeous* new logo made for me by @mariaspada.design!
Maria totally captured the concept of what I was hoping for in a logo—something romantic and whimsical, elegant, and timeless that can work seamlessly with the three genres I’m writing…contemporary romance, historical fiction, and romantic fantasy (more on that so soon, hopefully!!).
Why the dandelion? They’re symbols of hope, transformation, resilience, wishes, dreams…and journeys. I’ve always loved these romantic little flowers, often overlooked, and think they’re absolutely beautiful. 💕
I’ll be working to integrate this new logo and branding everywhere—including on my future book spines, which I’m so excited about! Watch out, ya’ll, I’m building my love story empire now! 🔥
Are you an audiobook lover?? Especially in the summer months when I’m outdoors doing yard work or when I’m running on the treadmill and doing chores, I love to pop in my earphones and listen—it really does feel like I’m getting to do two things at once!
I’m also woefully behind in sharing news about the A Zephyr Rising Audiobook which is now available everywhere you buy audiobooks!! Now you can listen to the entire Windswept WWI Saga in audio, narrated by my fantastic narrator, Elizabeth Grace (@elizabethgraceactor).
This prequel novella to the series was such a fun listen and it was so nice to dive back into the Windswept world while I’ve been working on Jack’s book. I’ll also soon have more audiobook news, as the audio for He Loves Me Knot is forthcoming!!
Where’s your favorite place to listen to audiobooks?
Haha I was telling a friend of mine yesterday about my love for While You Were Sleeping and this post idea popped into my head…how many of these do we have in common?? 😍
