Hi! I'm Annabelle.

I've been writing feverishly since I was 12, when I started a multi-part epic fantasy that I wrote by hand in journals for about five years. Things have changed a bit since then and despite many different jobs in the creative arts industries, writing has always been my passion and favorite way to pass the time.

I write contemporary, fantasy, and historical fiction and romance. I'm a sucker for adventure and swoony locales, small town cozy places that feel like home, and story lines that tug the heartstrings--while keeping you on your toes. I graduated with an M.A. in Fiction Writing from Johns Hopkins University. When I'm not writing, I'm chasing around my five young kids, homeschooling, baking, painting, photographing, and reading. I live outside Baltimore, Maryland with my husband, who indulges my crazy whims and puts up with my eccentricities.

Things I love:

  • The arts, especially: If there's an art form, I probably love it. A former professional photographer, it's probably my first love in the arts, but I also love painting whenever I can. But, I'm also a former musical theater kid, worked in film and television for years, and used to sing at weddings and funerals, too.
  • Cooking and baking. (I even post recipes on Instagram regularly.) But my favorite thing to bake? Bread. By a long shot.
  • Drinks: Coffee, Tea . . . obviously.
  • What else? I'm a night owl/insomniac, nature-lover who is always happy outdoors, and a big fan of comfy, cozy everything. I'm a bit of a foodie, though I love pizza and tacos (especially fish tacos) pretty much anytime. To stay sane, I run and hit the gym, where I've found an awesome community with CrossFit.
