Get swept away by the riveting and romantic World War I saga with Windswept, the book that started it all. Perfect for readers who love The Nightingale and The Alice Network. A "gripping adventure" (Kirkus Reviews).
A complete series of interconnected standalone contemporary romances set in fictional Appalachian town Brandywood, Maryland. Brimming with swoony small town charm, found family, and sizzling heat.
Fall in love around the world with the Wanderlust series—steamy, laugh-out-loud romances set in unforgettable destinations. Each book is a standalone escape packed with heart, heat, and just the right kind of chaos.
Annabelle McCormack writes historical romantic fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance packed with sprawling adventures, epic love, and soulmates who just can’t stay away from each other (even when the world is falling apart). If there’s a sweeping love story with high stakes and deep emotions, she’s probably writing it—or at least dreaming about it while chasing down her next cup of coffee.
When she’s not wrangling words, she’s wrangling five home-schooled kids, a couple of dogs, and an unreasonable amount of books in Maryland. If life had more hours (and less laundry), she’d be traveling, painting, or becoming a professional pastry chef. For now, she’s content with baking, reading, lifting heavy things at the gym, and plotting her next great escape—er, novel. She has been happily publishing since 2021.

Hi there, thanks for stopping by! Fill out the form below to get in touch or for any inquiries about collaborations. Looking forward to it!
I can’t believe it’s one week until the release of One Time in Paris!!! Eeeek!
Above all, this is a love story about two people who don’t even quite know how to see themselves (and who hasn’t been there?)…but find themselves falling for the most unexpected person, who has always seen THEM in a way no one else has ever could.
That’s one of my favorite things about love, to be honest. When it comes down to it—you ARE becoming vulnerable in a relationship. But with the right person, it doesn’t feel like vulnerability…because they already see you and love you just as you are. 🩷
Can’t wait to share more of Aiden and Isla’s love story with you all!! And if you haven’t caught up with the Wanderlust series yet, now is a great time to start with See You Next Fall, which is, of course a fall themed book!! 😘
Eeek! So excited!
It’s a beautiful Friday here in Maryland so how about an impromptu cover reveal for A Spark in Ashes?!?!
Jack Darby has long been one of not only my favorite characters that I’ve ever written, but also a character that’s so many of you have loved and begged for more of. I had toyed for a long time for making a prequel series about his adventures, but finally decided that I wanted to give Jack his own story to follow in the wake of the Windswept World War I trilogy—but that meant some reconfiguring of my plans! I wanted to keep the locations somewhere familiar and also bring back beloved characters—so I can now confirm that there will be be Ginger and Noah pov chapters in this…as well as the pov of a couple new characters that were honestly some of my favorites to write (and you can expect more from in the future!! 😉🤐)
Full blurb below—please like, share, save and preorder!! ❤️ Available October 21st!!

He thought he’d left the war behind. But the past never stays buried.
In the desolation of the desert in 1934 Egypt, archaeologist and former codebreaker Jack Darby receives a message that upends everything: his estranged sister is missing. So is Kit—the woman he once loved and believed dead.
Determined to find them, Jack uncovers a trail of clues leading from coded newspaper articles to the dusty heart of Mesopotamia, where political unrest brews and an elusive mercenary is brokering secrets that could ignite a war.
Drawn into a tangled web of espionage, smuggling, and betrayal, Jack must outwit enemies on both sides of the law, while grappling with a dazzling con artist who just might break his heart all over again. But the closer he gets to the truth, the more he realizes some secrets aren’t meant to stay hidden—and some people aren’t meant to stay lost . . . including him.
Well, I got home from vacation and immediately threw myself into fixing the schoolroom/my office for the start of school next week (I homeschool in case ya didn’t know 😂).
This is the part of the room I am proudest of. (The rest is still a disaster but I’ll share later when done! 😀) Alllllmost done. It’s been a STRUGGLE because my whole house fell into chaos while I was drafting and editing this year. One day, one room at a time!!
Who else is starting the school year like they were hit by a truck?! (Please say it’s not just me.)
Portrait of a historical writer who just turned A Spark in Ashes over to her copyeditor—and can now enjoy her favorite Costa Rican beer to celebrate on the beach!! (Not in Costa Rica though) 🏖️
I’m finished!!! I’m done!!! This book took everything out of me but it’s done!! 😍
Stay tuned for all the Jack Darby. 🩷
Packing allllllll the beach essentials. (Plus what’s on my ereader!!! 😍)
And yes, I’m taking One Time in Paris!! I need some beach pictures with it! 😂😘 (Some of these are books I’ve put aside other summers and I’m determined to read this one!)
More news and posts coming next week…because I am FINALLY done with a book a had on deadline (I nearly lost my mind trying to finish on time) and now I can read, read, read!! (And post about the books I’m launching! 😂)
