Get swept away by the riveting and romantic World War I saga with Windswept, the book that started it all. Perfect for readers who love The Nightingale and The Alice Network. A "gripping adventure" (Kirkus Reviews).
A complete series of interconnected standalone contemporary romances set in fictional Appalachian town Brandywood, Maryland. Brimming with swoony small town charm, found family, and sizzling heat.
Fall in love around the world with the Wanderlust series—steamy, laugh-out-loud romances set in unforgettable destinations. Each book is a standalone escape packed with heart, heat, and just the right kind of chaos.
Annabelle McCormack writes historical romantic fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance packed with sprawling adventures, epic love, and soulmates who just can’t stay away from each other (even when the world is falling apart). If there’s a sweeping love story with high stakes and deep emotions, she’s probably writing it—or at least dreaming about it while chasing down her next cup of coffee.
When she’s not wrangling words, she’s wrangling five home-schooled kids, a couple of dogs, and an unreasonable amount of books in Maryland. If life had more hours (and less laundry), she’d be traveling, painting, or becoming a professional pastry chef. For now, she’s content with baking, reading, lifting heavy things at the gym, and plotting her next great escape—er, novel. She has been happily publishing since 2021.

Man y’all…2025 has been a rough one. And what’s messing with me most right now is THIS…my lovely sprained wrist that has been hurting me on and off pretty badly since March and I re-injured last week at the airport. I have an appointment with a hand specialist coming up and I’m really keeping my fingers crossed that it’s not gonna be something that requires surgery or long-term immobilization, but you can imagine that it’s not the easiest thing on the planet to try to write with!
I swear I’m becoming more of a klutz the older I get—this is one of several injuries I’ve had the last couple years because of random, easily preventable accidents.
In the meantime, I’m trying to explore my options for being more consistent on here and in sending my newsletter because honestly right now, even using my hand to tap out a message on my phone is getting to be painful and I’m having to use dictation a lot which is not my favorite or ideal.
…but happy fall everyone and hopefully I’ll have some more fun posts on the horizon soooooon!! ❤️
After conferencing and meeting with industry reps all day, my next appointment is with this hammock and a good book. I’m currently reading the second book in the war of lost heart series. What are you reading today??
It’s release day!!!
I’m so excited to bring you Isla and Aiden’s story in the Wanderlust series. From the moment I wrote See You Next Fall, I had such a strong urge to make Aiden the main character of his own book—and I’m so glad I did! This was such a fun book to write and Isla was the perfect match for him. She’s flawed and messy, just like I like my characters to be, but that’s what makes her work so well with Aiden!
Want to find out more about this brother’s best friend, steamy and heartfelt travel romance? It’s available now everywhere you buy books!! Happy reading!! 🩷
One more day until Isla and Aiden’s book is out!!
On a more personal note, one of the things I’ve loved about the Wanderlust series, and especially One Time in Paris, is the ability to share a huge part of my own journey: what it’s like to belong to two (or more) different worlds without quite seeing yourself in either.
Those of my fellow “halfsies” understand this, I know. I’m half Costa Rican. Was born there. Went there every summer of my life to be with my family. Grew up speaking Spanish and English together. But lived in the US, where half my family is from—I can even trace my relatives on my father’s side back to the Mayflower.
But that feeling of not belonging to either world? Such a strong one. And so important, I think, to see represented in characters. It’s been a theme in many of my books, including the second book in the Wanderlust series, where I really poured my Costa Rican insider knowledge onto the page, but as I approached writing Isla’s character it hit home more than I could imagine—which is part of why I love her so much!
Anyway, I can’t wait to share her and her story with you. And for my fellow halfsies—I hope you can see part of yourself here. I know the struggle and I see you. 🩷
I couldn’t resist this trend. 😀 What do we have in common?!
